Dustin Anthrop - Board of Directors President

A 2002 graduate of McCutcheon, Dustin Anthrop is entering his 7th season on the Mavs
coaching staff and 4th year as head coach of the JV Mavs where he oversees all operations of
the JV program.

In addition to his high school role, Anthrop serves as the President of MYBL, the
Mavs youth baseball organization. In this dual role, he has been instrumental in connecting the
philosophy of the high school program down through the feeder system.

No stranger to the local youth baseball scene, Anthrop has served in leadership roles for various youth organizations
during his career including President - Wea Summer Rec,  Vice President -Tippecanoe Youth Baseball League,  Secretary -Tippecanoe County Baseball Association.  Over the years, he has held many coaching roles within MYBL and Attica Babe Ruth League.



Justin Hartman - Executive Director of Operations

A 2002 graduate of McCutcheon, Hartman returns to the Mavericks program after serving as the head
coach at West Lafayette High School from 2019-2022. He had previous stints on the Mavericks high
school staff from 2006-2007 and then again as a varsity assistant from 2014-2018. Hartman brings a lot
of experience with youth baseball, having coached in the McCutcheon youth programs from 2003-2013.
During his time with our youth programs, he took two Maverick teams to the Pony World Series. In 2011
his team advanced to Washington, Pennsylvania, where they finished in the top four. His 2013 Maverick
team made it to Fullerton, California, where they finished runner-up to Jurupa, CA. Hartman also
coached Hoosier North in the Lafayette Colt World Series in 2015 and 2016, where they finished runner-
up to Mexico in 2015. He previously served as our MYBL board president from 2016-2018.

Hartman played under hall of fame Coach Jake Burton where he entered the Maverick records book his
senior year after completing an undefeated season on the mound. Their 2002 McCutcheon team
finished the season ranked #1 in the state. Hartman received the Coaches Award for the player who
exhibited leadership throughout the season.




Tristan McIntyre - Head Baseball Coach/Board Member

A 2003 McCutcheon alum, Tristan McIntyre is entering his 5th year as Head Coach of the Mavericks. 2021 was McIntyre's first
season of competition and he helped lead the Mavs to 24 victories, the most wins since 2014. McIntyre served as an assistant for three
seasons under Brian Eaton and Doug Schreiber helping the Mavericks win 61 games during these years. Prior to returning to
McCutcheon, McIntyre coached at the collegiate level for eight years, highlighted by winning the 2012 Big Ten Championship at Purdue
while serving as the Boilermakers pitching coach. During his time at Purdue, McIntyre coached over ten pitchers who went on to pitch
professionally including fellow McCutcheon alums Nick Wittgren and Shane Bryant.

As a captain during his senior season, McIntyre helped the Mavericks win their second IHSAA State Championship in 2003. During his
Mav career, he earned the Exchange Club Sportsmanship Award his sophomore year, was named First-Team All Conference first
baseman his junior year, and was the Ellison Mental Attitude recipient his senior year. McIntyre went on to play collegiately at Purdue
where he was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

 



Scottie Marsell - Board Member

Scottie Marsell is a lifelong resident of Lafayette, IN. He has been married to his wife Glenna for 14 years and they have 2 kids, Anna and Logan. Logan is currently a member of our High School Varsity Team and played in our MYBL program for 11-14U teams. 

Scottie grew up playing baseball in both the Wea and Lafayette programs. He played baseball in high school at Central Catholic before injuries ended his career. After high school, Scottie moved to Florida to study his other passion, motorcycles. He returned to Lafayette after he graduated and opened his own motorcycle shop, All Cycles. Scottie sold his business in 2015 so that he could focus more of his time coaching both baseball. Marsell has coached baseball since 2010. His program involvement includes Lafayette Summer Rec, Wea summer Rec, McCutcheon Youth Baseball League (MYBL), and our McCutcheon High School Summer Team. 




David McKinley - Facility Operations Director
 


A 2002 graduate of Faith Christian School, David McKinley is entering his eighth year of leadership in Lafayette area baseball and his fifth year of involvement with McCutcheon Youth Baseball League. Most recently the head coach of MYBL's 12U Cardinal team, David is involved with all the program's teams to some extent. David has been responsible for multiple team championships for both MYBL teams and Wea teams.

David is employed by BL Anderson Company, an engineering and consulting firm based in Lafayette. He and his wife Grace have been married for 18 years and have four boys: Gavin, Treyvonn, Tucker, and Miles. Their oldest three have been proud members of MYBL teams every year they were eligible, and Miles is not far behind.
